Koh samui 2012: Day 1 - From Samui with Love

It's time for our 2nd honeymoon of 2012..

Koh Samui, Thailand

Actually, kitaorg mmg plan nak pegi honeymoon on this week.. tapi mase tu dok pilih2 antara Koh Samui or Seoul.. But since Seoul would definitely cost more than Koh Samui.. and we need to save up on our next dream honeymoon.. So Koh Samui it is..

I've monitor the flight ticket price a few months before the date.. Mase tu check website Firefly tickets was around RM1800 for 2 pax return.. What the hell.. mahal nye kan.. 2 jam jek flight pon.. huhuhu.. So we kept delaying.. masa Matta fair itu hari.. ticket turun jadik RM1530 camtuh.. So kitaorg pon beli lah ticket.. 

Next is accomodation.. Yg pasti kitaorg nak duduk kat area centre Chaweng.. (equivalent to Patong of Phuket, Ao Nang of Krabi and Kuta of Bali etc).. So kalau nak yg best sket.. mahal la sikit.. Kalau tak nak duduk area Centre Chaweng, bulih dapat hotel yg lagikkkkk best best villa segala with much lower price.. Tapi aku search2.. tambang taxi dari beach lain nak ke Chaweng dah makan lebih kurang RM30 sehala.. so kim salam jek la.. No choice but to stay in Chaweng senang kan..

And 1 May 2012 came around..

 Our flight was at 135 pm.. Kat Sky Park Subang jek..

Sekentut jek dari umah.. best gila..

 Walaupon aku mengalami kegayatan melampau.. view sepanjang jalan adelah sgt cantik.. Sebab Firefly nih terbang rendah jek all the way..

Kawan2 aku yg pernah pegi Koh Samui dah bagitau, dlm Firefly makan muffin kecik or kacang jek.. So mase kat Skypark tadik kitaorg dah bantai nasik kandar sorang sepinggan.. hahahha.. Kalau tak harus sampai2 Samui jek muka kitaorg laki bini dah terbalik sebab kebulur.. Hehe..

 2 hours later.. we arrived at Koh Samui International Airport.. Turun2 jek kapalterbang, dah ade shuttle bus tunggu untuk transport to main terminal.. When i say terminal, it's thatched huts in place of terminal building.. How cool is that.. hehe.. So holiday mood pon sgt2 lah terasa since dari airport lagik.. hehe..

We paid RM30 one way for our airport transfer to Montien House yg lebih kurang 3 km jek dari airport.. Kalau mat salleh dia jalan kaki pon sampai agak nye.. Tapik dengan luggage besau gajah ko jgn nak gila youols.. Walaupon youols selalu masuk marathon 10 km ke kan.. Iols recommend naik taxi jek la jah.. Senang hati..

 So 3 km later.. we checked in into our pool villa at Montien House.. Sweet!

 First time kitaorg duduk poolvilla.. Best jugak.. Nih baru poolvilla biasa2 jek.. belom lagik yg high class.. mesti lagik best kan.. Our room is spacious.. Villa nih sebelah menyebelah ade 6 bijik semua nya.. Berdinding tinggi so sangat privacy.. Kira orang luar tak nampak la kalau ko tgh bersantai2 dlm compound villa ko..

Tapi ade ruang kecik untuk tengok villa sebelah menyebelah.. So harapan la aku nak skinny dipping untuk percutian kali ini.. hahahhaha..

Nak pilih accomodation nih pon bercinta okay.. Kitaorg finally book 1 hari sebelom tarikh berlepas! hahahha.. cutting it close ok..

Sebab banyak gila choices.. Berpuluh puluh hotel sebelah menyebelah sampai naik juling aku hari2 baca TripAdvisor.. Hahaha.. Mula2 survey, poolvilla Montien House nih RM1800 for 4 nights..

Mase tu bonus baru masuk.. So kitaorg pon feeling orang kaya dah booked thru Booking.com.. Tapi makin dekat tarikh nak pegi.. makin susut bonus.. hahahhaha.. so feeling orang kaya tu dah takde.. Terus aku cancel booking kitaorg..

So 1 day before nak bertolak tuh.. we're still contemplating between Baan Chaweng Hotel or Dara Samui Hotel.. sebab poolvilla Montien House nih mahal sgt utk bajet kitaorg.. Tapi Baan Chaweng and Dara Samui pon dalam RM1500 jugak.. Sekali mase aku nak booking tuh.. Saje la check poolvilla Montien House.. tgk2 dah turun RM1530 ok.. Terus cepat2 book.. hehehe..

When youols look for accomodation.. please take your time.. and search using a few site.. Booking.com, Agoda, Airasiago etc.. Sebab some hotel Agoda lagik murah.. tapi some hotel Airasiago lagik murah.. so you get the drill kan..

Anyway, Montien House nih ade jugak bilik superior deluxe etc.. But since we're on our honeymoon.. what the hell.. bukan selalu kan ;)

Location wise, highly recommended ok Montien House nih.. smack in the middle just like we want it.. sebab kalau mat salleh yg suka ketenangan segala tuh.. night mare kot diorang duduk central chaweng nih.. Tapi orang melayu cam aku nih suka jek duduk tgh2 pekan kan.. hehhehe..

Anyway, another 2 hotels that i can recommend base on location/ budget are Dara Samui (to the right dlm 150 meter dari Montien House) and also Baan Chaweng (to the left dlm 250 meter dari Montien House).. kalau nak dok Montien tapi tanak spend byk on accomodation, korang boleh go for the Deluxe room. Superior room dia dalam area garden.. tapi personally aku rase mcm spooky and scary jek.. hhuhuhuhu.. Tapi kalau deluxe room, suites and pool villa entrance dia lain.. so takyah lalu garden tuh..

 Nih laluan for deretan pool villa..

Another hotel yg very strategic (seberang jalan besar from Montien House), cuma dia tak mengadap laut la.. is Khun Chaweng.. pon nampak ok.. Yg 3 aku mention earlier semua mengadap laut ok..

Tapi macam kitaorg pon.. buat membazir jek mengadap laut.. First and Second day jek semanagat jalan2 kat tepi pantai.. hahahah.. poolvilla pon sama.. confirm bukan hari2 aku masuk dlm pool tuh.. especially sebab aku tak leh nak skinny dip kan.. hahahha.. 

Anyway, yg aku recommend tu kalau ko bajet cam aku la.. Kalau bajet besar takyah cerita la you'll be spoil with choices kan..

 Once we settle down and freshen up.. kitaorg pon kuar balik amik bearing of Chaweng Town..

Similar like Patong of Phuket.. cuma dia tak sesak mcm Patong.. dia macam lek lek jek.. maybe sebab low season kot.. Tengok tuh.. tak banyak orang pon kat town kan.. mcm very laid back.. tapi mungkin jugak sebab mase nih pukul 350 petang.. matahari masih tegak rambang atas kepala ok.. tahap kepanasan yg mengelegak.. hohohoh.. (sila jgn bagi statement neraka nanti lagik panas ok. huhuhu)

We had lunch at one of the Indian restaurant..

In Samui.. satu yg tak best is.. It's BLOODY difficult to find halal food.. and I'm not kidding you.. at least kat Phuket tu gak byk kedai arab kan.. sini indian food banyak la.. huhuhu...

So in our case, the next best thing would be seafood everything..

Lagi satu.. food was expensive everywhere in Samui..

(plus mmg kitaorg makan tak budget2.. so bila kira2 balik.. the biggest chunk for our expenses goes to food)

 Lepas makan.. dah tatau nak pegi mana.. sebab panas rase nak dok dalam bilik pasang aircond jek kan.. hehhehe..

So aku ajak Leman amik cab pegi Tesco.. hahahha..

Memula Leman bebel2 cakap ape aku carik kat Tesco ntah.. kat KL pon byk Tesco kan.. hehhehe..

Tapi Tesco dia kat sini besau... ade wayang and bowling semua..

And aku nak gi Tesco sebab nak pegi beli DVD player..

hahahhaha..

Yup.. you heard me right.. Nama jek poolvilla tapik DVD player nan ado.. and aku geram tgk kedai2 jual DVD bersusun2... hehehhe.. tu yg nak pegi carik DVD player tuh..

Anyway, it was a really good buy... and we really make good use out of it..

The rest of the day was spent relaxing by our pool and the hotel main pool and watching DVDs..

 Some of our ration.. Tapi tak abes pon..

That night we take away Fillet o Fish McD set and pancake yg mcm kat Krabi tu, and sambung lepak tgk DVD kat bilik.. Malam tu tido sambil senyum..

Such bliss being on a honeymoon :)
